Day Sailers We have two 18 ft Capri Day Sailing Boats which can be hired for the day. They will take up to 5 persons but some sailing experience is required. They are available for a small charge to occupants of the apartments and houseboats bookable in advance and subject to availability.

Dinghies A rowing dinghy is provided free of charge to each apartment and houseboat.

Buoyancy Aids
Buoyancy aids are available free of charge to apartment and houseboat residents during their stay and we recommend that they are worn at all times during boating activities.

Laundry
There is a coin operated washing machine and dryer located on site.

Car Parking
There are designated parking spaces for the apartments and houseboats free of charge. The remaining parking spaces are available for a small daily charge bookable in advance and subject to availability.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of the apartments. It is only permitted on the decks of the Houseboats.

Pets
Pets are not permitted in any of the apartments; however we do allow well behaved dogs on the houseboats. These are to be exercised off the premises and the owners are responsible for the behaviour of their pets.

Parklands Country Club Free membership of the Parklands Country Club is available to apartment and houseboat residents during their stay.

How to get here

By Car
Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590 sign posted South Lakes and Kendal. Then take the A591 sign posted Windermere. At a large roundabout follow signs for Hawkshead via Ferry. This will bring you directly to Ferry Nab. Mereside is the last property on the right before the ferry.

By Train
There is a good train service to Windermere which is either direct or requiring a simple change at Oxenholme.

Taxis are available at Windermere for the short transfer to Mereside for a few pounds alternatively taxis are also available directly from Oxenholme at greater cost.

Shopping
There are a number of local shops in Bowness and there is an excellent supermarket in Windermere next to the railway station, which is approximately two miles away.
A wider range of shops and factory outlets are available in Kendal approximately 12 miles away.
